Control Structures for Parallel Computing in NUT

چکیده

Specification language of NUT has been recently extended with functions for distributed computing. This extension can be used for developing a collection of control structures for parallel compositional programming. The purpose of this thesis is to support distributed and coarse grained parallel computing in the NUT system, on the basis of the rNUT distributed programming toolkit. This work consists of two parts. In the first part an idea of an environment for domain-specific parallel programming is proposed. The proposed environment consists of a library of control structures, designed as classes in NUT, using the rNUT toolkit. A set of experimental control structures and their related applications have been implemented. In the second part an approach to a graphical language for parallel programming in NUT has been proposed. The proposed language simplifies parallel programming in NUT by using the expressiveness of the graphical language. An experimental implementation of the graphical parallel language has been done using NUT Scheme Editor. ii iii Acknowledgments
